The winter transfer window proves to be a period of feverish rumour and potential major transfers. Numerous prominent players find themselves linked with moves away from their present clubs. We examine some of the top figures that might be changing clubs this month.

A. Semenyo

Following starring at the Under-19 European Championship, Smit has become a regular in the AZ side. The teenager is widely tipped to make a major transfer in January. Newcastle United are believed to be leading the chase, but are facing strong competition from the Spanish champions for a signing priced at around £22 million.
